CURRENTLY COVETING | FALL BEAUTY EDITION

THE BEST NEUTRALS FOR FALL

Fall will be officially here in a few days and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for the change in weather (hopefully) and attire.  With all the changes in the air, we tend to forget about changing up our makeup routine.  This is the time of year for berries and browns when it comes to beauty products. While I love a nice burgundy it doesn’t always go with my day-to-day, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite neutrals to help you through the sea of fall colors that are out there.

First things first, with every outfit you must have a good lipstick or gloss to compliment your look.  I am a huge bareMinerals fan and I absolutely love there Gen Nude Matte Collection.  There are so many beautiful shades but moving towards fall I tend to go with Icon.  It is a great neutral pinkish shade with bits of brown that make it less springy… I am also currently loving the Urban Decay Vice line.  My personal fave for fall is called Vanished.  It has a bit of a matte rose gold look to it and it’s super creamy.  I also love M.A.C. in Stone this is a little on the darker side.  It looks great on mostly brunettes but if you have a platinum blonde, white, or light gray hue, I think you could rock this color too.

Next up let’s talk about nail polish!  I love that nail polish has totally come back in a big way.  I remember for years it seemed like everything had to be a french manicure or Bubble Bath pink, but with all the great colors out these days you can’t help but take advantage of them.  I have my colors that I look forward to every season and I want to share with you some that I have either tried or want to try this fall.  Rose gold is trending and it took me a while to find the right one.  My go-to on this hue is Penny Talk by Essie.  Looks great and not too pink.  I am currently on the lookout for Modern Love by Deborah Lippman.  I love this velvety pinkish brown color and I think it will go well with some of the sweaters I’ve bought.  The next color is a deep dark chocolate brown by Dolce Gabbana called Chocolate 55 that I think is amazing. This is such a great color for fall and it almost seems black but not too harsh.

Last but not least, have you guys seen the Urban Decay Heat palette?  Omg, this is amazing!  I am all about some Urban Decay palettes but this one totally gets the fall mood I’m in and I love all the shades that comes with it!  This palette will get you through all of your fall and winter soirees hands down, no problem!  Also, with the array of colors, you can totally get that smokey eye look!

The best is yet to come!  You can get all of these new shades for fall at Nordstrom just don’t wait too long! I’m sure many others just like you will want to join in on all the fall fun and will be looking their best in these fall beauty essentials!

I hope you liked my little fall beauty round-up!  Please feel free to comment your thoughts on any of these products I’ve mentioned and as always thanks for reading!

Cheers- Ashley Nicole

  • A Halloween colored golden hour and this house was dressed perfectly for the occasion... It’s still heating up here in the south and by the end of these photos my overalls were sticking to my legs so bad that I had to hike them up to get back into the car 😅 Hey fall over here!🙋‍♀️🍂 Anyone else dealing with all this heat still?
  • Happy first of October!!! 🎃 I’ve gone batty decorating the porch... 🦇 I added a few pops of green for a “gourd-gous” scene as my witchy side reminds me, tis near Halloween! Looking forward to starting October off right with all the spooky magic this month brings! Clearly Halloween is one of my fave holidays and I’ve been so ready for it! Have you started decorating yet? I’d love to know what you’re doing for porch decor this year! Also, what do you think of my DIY painted doormat?
  • Every year for as long as I can remember, my family has celebrated the fall season by bringing home a bag of @brachscandy Autumn Mix. #sponsored This year, I thought it might be nice to share the tradition with friends by making them a spooky sweet treat because it's not Halloween without Brach's candy corn. That said, I stopped by @target on my way home to pick some up (plus a bag of Pumpkins for me) and whipped up this super simple Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark (recipe below). To add some extra holiday spirit, I placed them in cute goodie bags with a little tag that says "This is for you, Boo!" Can't wait to hand these out and keep the tradition going! Happy Haunting, friends! (1) 12oz. Bag of Dark Chocolate Chunks (melted)
(1) 10-15 of Brach's Candy Corn
Sprinkles of Your Choice
(1) Cookie Sheet Covered with Parchment Paper

After the chocolate has been melted, carefully spread the warm chocolate out on the pan and smooth over into one layer.  Add candy corn/sprinkles and allow to cool in the fridge.  Once cooled, break the chocolate apart into large chunks/shards and disperse as you please.

  • Most of the time my days off consist of me running errands, cleaning and working on stuff for the blog, not to mention, all the other things that come up in life.
Today, I managed to wake up early and check out the local farmer’s market (they had 🎃 check out my stories if you wanna sneak a peek), catch up with some good friends that I haven’t seen in awhile, and even squeezed in a little DIY project that I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time (also in stories)... This was a rare day indeed, but a really good one and it pains me that I have to remind myself to do more things that bring me joy as it seems like I’m always busy these days. That being said, I just thought I’d check in with you because I know first hand how easy it is to run yourself ragged. So here it goes, what have you done to feed your soul/bring you joy lately? ✨
  • Dreaming of the day we get our first cool crisp fall weather! Until then, I be wearing my sweaters in the AC and watching Harry Potter on repeat! Also, I’m super into this color RN! Are you loving all the rusty hues this season? 🍂✨#whitecrowbrand #myzsupply #sweater
  • When it’s 92 degrees out, but you still wanna get your fall on! 🍂✨

Lately I’ve been cranking up the AC to pretend it’s cool out, lighting pumpkin candles, flipping through autumnal books/magazines, and watching Harry Potter because I’m determined to get in the mood for fall one way or another! 🤣 What are you guys doing to get your fall on? .
