A RELAXING BATH SOAK TUTORIAL
This time of year is usually when hints of spring come out and I’m ready to peel off some layers, however, my skin is usually very dry and I don’t feel comfortable showing it off just yet. A few ways I like to pamper my skin back to smooth is by taking a relaxing hot bath with this DIY rose petal bath soak.
Sometimes I get so busy with the holidays and so on that I forget to take the time to take care of my skin and my mental health. It’s amazing what a long bath can do to help you and your skin reboot for the day/week. The bath soak may also be used as a bath scrub to slough off some of that lingering dead skin after a dry winter.
The ingredients listed below are hydrating and simple to put together. This also makes a great gift for a friend or a loved one. Simply place a jar of the bath soak in a basket with some tealight candles, a natural sponge, and wahlah you have a thoughtful gift to brighten someone’s day. Ok, here is the recipe for the bath soak.
ROSE PETAL BATH SOAK
- 2 CUPS EPSOM SALT
- 2 TSP. COCONUT OIL (HEATED)
- 5-6 DROPS OF ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL
- A HANDFUL OF DRIED ROSE PETALS
ONCE YOU HAVE HEATED THE COCONUT OIL AND IT IS NO LONGER SOLID, MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER IN A MEDIUM BOWL AND STORE IN A JAR WITH A LID. *NOTE- I USUALLY HEAT THE COCONUT OIL IN A SMALL MEASURING CUP FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS IN THE MICROWAVE.
