HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE | FOR THE HOSTESS

It’s almost that time of year when your calendar gets filled with holiday parties to attend and you find yourself scrambling for a hostess gift.  This year I plan on being well prepared and I’m stocking up on all kinds of goodies and sharing a gift guide that will charm any hostess with the mostess!

First things first, what is a party without a cheese board?  I’ve found a great twig cheese knife set and wooden cutting board that your host or hostess will be pleased to receive.

Cookie swaps are a holiday party favorite so I’ve listed this heavy duty marble rolling pin to help your hostess roll out her sweets with style.

The holidays are also known as the baking season.  Give your hostess a cake stand that she will enjoy displaying her baked goods on all year.

You can never have too many kitchen towels or napkins especially when hosting!  I can’t express this enough, the more linens the merrier especially when it comes to clean up time!

The hammered bowl I’ve listed would be a great base for a hostess basket.  Add in some flavored dip packets, a spreader, and crackers or create your own gift basket with other food items.

Wine stoppers are a party must have to keep wine from spillage and spoilage! Any host/hostess would love you to bring a bottle with this cute stopper attached and don’t forget the coasters!  You may have heard that funny saying “use a coaster and nobody gets hurt” but the truth is we really should be respectful of our host/hostesses homes. Give your host/hostess a nice set of coasters that will coax their guests into actually using them.  They will be much obliged, trust me!

Sometimes when hosting a party it’s easy to get so caught up in the meal planning and preparing that you forget to pick up after party necessities like dish soap or counter spray.  I’ve listed one of my favorite chemical-free household cleaners in this yummy holiday scent. They also have soy-based candles which I think complete the set.  While I’ve listed links for the individual products below, I also wanted to take the opportunity to introduce you to Grove Collaborative.  This is a great company that offers all natural products in everything from cleaners to beauty products at discounted prices.  If you’re interested in signing up, click this link here to receive a $10.00 credit for signing up!

While these are just a few suggestions for hostess gifts, I encourage you to check out the Target dollar section, Michael’s quick grab items, and World Market for little knick-knacks that you may be able to group together and use as gifts.  I like to keep a small stockpile handy just in case.  You never know when you may get a last minute invite.

  • Girl put your records on and play your favorite song 🎶 Just picked up a new record the other day! Have you heard of Cotton Jones? They sound so dreamy with a vintage kind of vibe that I can’t help but sway to! Swipe through to have a listen and let me know what you think! 💫
  • A Halloween colored golden hour and this house was dressed perfectly for the occasion... It’s still heating up here in the south and by the end of these photos my overalls were sticking to my legs so bad that I had to hike them up to get back into the car 😅 Hey fall over here!🙋‍♀️🍂 Anyone else dealing with all this heat still?
  • Happy first of October!!! 🎃 I’ve gone batty decorating the porch... 🦇 I added a few pops of green for a “gourd-gous” scene as my witchy side reminds me, tis near Halloween! Looking forward to starting October off right with all the spooky magic this month brings! Clearly Halloween is one of my fave holidays and I’ve been so ready for it! Have you started decorating yet? I’d love to know what you’re doing for porch decor this year! Also, what do you think of my DIY painted doormat?
  • Every year for as long as I can remember, my family has celebrated the fall season by bringing home a bag of @brachscandy Autumn Mix. #sponsored This year, I thought it might be nice to share the tradition with friends by making them a spooky sweet treat because it's not Halloween without Brach's candy corn. That said, I stopped by @target on my way home to pick some up (plus a bag of Pumpkins for me) and whipped up this super simple Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark (recipe below). To add some extra holiday spirit, I placed them in cute goodie bags with a little tag that says "This is for you, Boo!" Can't wait to hand these out and keep the tradition going! Happy Haunting, friends! (1) 12oz. Bag of Dark Chocolate Chunks (melted)
(1) 10-15 of Brach's Candy Corn
Sprinkles of Your Choice
(1) Cookie Sheet Covered with Parchment Paper

After the chocolate has been melted, carefully spread the warm chocolate out on the pan and smooth over into one layer.  Add candy corn/sprinkles and allow to cool in the fridge.  Once cooled, break the chocolate apart into large chunks/shards and disperse as you please.

  • Most of the time my days off consist of me running errands, cleaning and working on stuff for the blog, not to mention, all the other things that come up in life.
Today, I managed to wake up early and check out the local farmer’s market (they had 🎃 check out my stories if you wanna sneak a peek), catch up with some good friends that I haven’t seen in awhile, and even squeezed in a little DIY project that I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time (also in stories)... This was a rare day indeed, but a really good one and it pains me that I have to remind myself to do more things that bring me joy as it seems like I’m always busy these days. That being said, I just thought I’d check in with you because I know first hand how easy it is to run yourself ragged. So here it goes, what have you done to feed your soul/bring you joy lately? ✨
  • Dreaming of the day we get our first cool crisp fall weather! Until then, I be wearing my sweaters in the AC and watching Harry Potter on repeat! Also, I’m super into this color RN! Are you loving all the rusty hues this season? 🍂✨#whitecrowbrand #myzsupply #sweater
  • When it’s 92 degrees out, but you still wanna get your fall on! 🍂✨
•
Lately I’ve been cranking up the AC to pretend it’s cool out, lighting pumpkin candles, flipping through autumnal books/magazines, and watching Harry Potter because I’m determined to get in the mood for fall one way or another! 🤣 What are you guys doing to get your fall on? .
