Hi guys!  I hope you’re having a great day so far!  I’ve had some of you asking me to do a post on my current skincare routine.  I’ve had a lot of ups and downs with my skin especially with my hormones but I’ve found a few things that have really gotten me through over the years and just recently.

Before I go into the products, I also want to touch base on some daily routines that have helped my skin as well.  Every morning I take two caps full of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar “with the Mother” and add it to water with a little cinnamon.  I make sure that I drink this before I consume anything for that day.  Another thing I have noticed is that taking a daily D3 Vitamin can do wonders, or at least it did for me.

Ok moving on to the good stuff!  A few months ago I was introduced to the Little Barn Apothecary Charcoal + Aloe Face Cleanser and I’ve been hooked ever since.  I’ve tried several different cleansers but I couldn’t find one that didn’t irritate or dry out my skin.  I would also notice that most cleansers didn’t do their job.  I would wash my face and wipe the water off with a towel only to notice that I had a ton of makeup rubbing off still.  That has not been the case with this cleanser.  My face feels clean with no leftover makeup residue.  It may seem a bit pricey for a cleanser but a little bit really does go a long way and I usually wash my face twice a day.  Once in the AM and in the PM with a little scrubber like this.  No matter how tired I am, I always wash the makeup off of my face before bed.  This step is crucial!

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you may have seen a sponsored post I did for Clinique’s new Vitamin C Booster and Smart Moisturizer.  I’ll be 100% honest here when they sent me the product I was a little skeptical.  You see I’ve been struggling with dry skin my entire life and I’ve tried just about everything only to be disappointed.  After using this for a few days I began to notice a change in my skin.  It was no longer dry, super soft, and glowing!  This is how it works.  The Vitamin C Booster has seven days worth of product in each vial so you get 4 to get you through the month.  Each vial has a super-potent daily booster that brightens, evens, and re-texturizes your skin.  The Smart Moisturizer acts as a day and night cream and has SPF 15 so no more juggling all those different creams ladies!  After I’ve washed my face, I blend two drops of the booster to my normal dosage of moisturizer (about a dime size dollop) between my fingers and apply it to my face. That’s it!

The last thing I like to use is a Jade Crystal Facial Roller.  My mind is constantly going and I have a really hard time sleeping so this little tool helps with those under eye bags and puffiness.  I keep it in a Ziploc bag in the freezer and pull it out when I’m in need.  There are several tutorials on how to use a Jade Roller, I use this one here

Well, there you have it!  My current skincare routine, not much fuss to it and I’m finally at a place after years of trial and error where I feel like my routine is working for me!  I hope that you’ve found this post helpful!  What are your skincare favorites?  Would you like me to do more beauty posts like this?  I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below!

Cheers- Ashley Nicole

  • Cold days like these make me want to cozy up with a warm blanket and look through sunny photos of past vacations while day dreaming up our next adventure together.
Last year, my husband and I visited St. John and The British Virgin Islands and we had such an amazing time that I decided to surprise him by capturing our favorite vacation moments with a custom photo book.
Luckily, @google photos just launched a new photo book feature so I decided to try it out and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to create. It literally took minutes to put it together!
If you have an anniversary, birthday, or “just because” dates coming up I would definitely recommend adding your own personal touch with one of these keepsakes!

  • Finally got out and about after being sick for the last few days and found the most delicious tile pattern on the way to my car. This was someone’s walkway leading up to their home (don’t mind if I do). So glad no one was there 🤫 but I had to share because it was the perfect reminder that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places. I hope your day was filled with beauty loves! ✨

  • Really looking forward to the weekend and a little sunshine because it’s been raining here non-stop! ☔️ I’ve def gotten my money’s worth out of my @hunterboots this week, but now I’m ready for a change 👢
  • Does anyone feel weird when the new year starts mid week? It’s kind of like when you’re at the crossing between 2 states with one foot on both sides.... I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m working on moving forward but I’m also having to look back on things in order to get there. Does this make sense? #newyearnewbeginnings #makeitcount #wrapitup
  • Welcoming 2019 with open arms! Last night Jamie (my husband) and I spent a nice quiet evening at home. I made Hoppin John, Collard Greens, Corn Bread, and Pork Chops. We ended the night watching the ball drop from bed and slept in for the first time since I can’t remember when. It was perfect! Just exactly what we needed to rejuvenate ourselves for the 1st day of the year. Today we took down all the Christmas decor and talked about some things we’d like to do/change in our home this year with a fresh new perspective. Lots of ideas sparking over here! Looking forward to new beginnings and new projects! Hope y’all had an amazing New Year’s!

  • ✨Happy NYE!!!✨This year was tough, not gonna lie! We got our new white lab Luna in the beginning and Hurricane Michael in the end and there were many other events in between. Let’s just say that I’m ready for the new year and I look forward to new memories! With all that being said I am also very thankful for this past year because it took me out of my comfort zone and made me realize what’s important and how to prioritize my life! I’m also very thankful for all of you for following me, commenting, liking, and supporting me. I hope y’all have a most memorable night filled with friends and family and stay safe!! See you next year! ❤️😉🎉 #forever21xme #freepeople #happynye #happynewyear2019 #cheers
  • Cheers to the weekend! 🥂Currently contemplating whether I should take down our Christmas decor or leave it up til New Year’s Day. What are your thoughts on this? I need some advice 🙃
