HOW TO LAYER YOUR SPRING CLOTHING FOR INCONSISTENT WEATHER
As of lately, I’ve had an obsession with pinstripes especially in this blue color. With spring well on its way, and an attempt to lighten up my wardrobe, I felt it was time to start by incorporating some of the pinstriped pieces I had. Little did I know that the weather would disagree with me that day.
Early spring fashion can be kind of tricky when it comes to the weather. In Florida, we can have 80-degree weather one day and 50-degree weather the next. When I originally purchased this pinstriped tunic, I was planning on wearing it as a dress with booties for a cute and comfy spring look and then roll it into my summer wardrobe with some lace-up leather sandals. Then the weather changed and I was forced to think outside the box.
I decided to pair my tunic with these flared jeans and my vintage Jeffery Cambell clogs for a more boho look, but you could easily pair it with skinny jeans and booties too.
The hat I’m wearing is by Brixton. It comes in this amazing burgundy color that surprisingly goes with just about anything. Did I mention I have a thing for hats? I have a few of their hats and it has to be said how well they hold their shape which is rare in my case as I am a little rough on them. I am a huge fan of their hats, can’t say it enough!
It was a little chilly out so I decided that I needed a scarf. I like this skinny scarf because it’s the perfect amount of material when it’s not freezing out. I got mine from Free People which is no longer available, however, I found a similar style for you here.
The final touch to any outfit when you live in Florida is a pair of sunglasses. I custom made these Ray-Ban sunnies on their website with my initials and a silver mirrored tint.
