Vintage Rectangular German Bread Board

These statement-sized vintage breadboards were scavenged during our vintage hunter’s travels to Eastern Germany. Originally used for baking loaves of bread, they’re now the ideal platter for a fruit and cheese feast. It can be used as a cutting board—just be sure to wash it first and handle gently (it’s seen a lot of love over the years so it’s delicate and shows signs of wear). Each board is totally unique so it’s a special-to-you piece of rustic charm. In order to withstand high temperatures without splitting, the pieces of wood are interwoven and constructed without any nails or screws so the board moves together when the wood expands and contracts. This old-school design has helped each board survive over many years! Made in: Germany. Made of: Wood. Size: As each piece is unique, size will range from 27-29″ L x 16-18″ W x 0.75″ H.

  • It’s been awhile since I’ve introduced myself and I’d like to make it a little more personal. My name is Ashley Nicole and I love sharing my life and style with you, but what I love most of all is connecting with you! It’s pretty awesome that these little squares allow us to communicate and build relationships with people all around the world without actually meeting them in person don’t you think? So here goes nothing! I’ll start by sharing 10 fun facts about me that you may not know and in return I’d love to hear something about you in the comments below! It can be literally anything the point here is to make a connection and I’d bet that we have more in common than you think! Ready, set, let’s get social!
1. My front tooth is fake! Yep, you heard me fake! When I was in 4th grade I slipped on the tile in my school bathroom and busted my front tooth. I’ll be sharing more about this as well as my before and after, what whitening product I used in between replacements and so on soon.
2. I’m terribly horrified of snakes. I can’t even wear a snake print, they just freak me out man!
3. I work full-time as an assistant buyer, floor merchandiser, and social media manager for a retail company.
4. My biggest pet peeve is when my husband leaves our empty tea pitcher in the fridge and doesn’t tell me we need to make more. Sweet tea is also my caffeine of choice.
5. I’m really really close with my Mom and we often get accused of being sisters because our age is so close. She had me at 16!
6. Some of my favorite foods are avocados, coconut, mushrooms, and cilantro. My husband hates all of them except cilantro. So agreeing on meals can be a bit challenging at times.
7. I love the fall and Halloween! I blame my Mom, @marthastewart, and the historical district I grew up trick or treating in.
8. You probably already know this one, but I loooove hats! Plus they are great for when your roots are growing and you’re in between hair appointments, ha!
9. I’ve never had a broken a bone. 🤞😬
10. I just recently discovered my love for house plants a few years ago. Now I can’t imagine my home without them!
Your turn! Tell me something good! 😉
  • Going through some old photos today and reminiscing about our trip to California a few years back. We stopped in Malibu and ate at this little gem I found on Instagram! I couldn’t get over how perfect the decor was and every seat came with a view. Let’s just say I wish I was there having brunch right now!
  • Saturday strolls and flowers to hold ✨🌼 #lovemylottas #springhassprung #springstyle
  • Ending this week by smudging out the negative to make room for the positive... Cheers to the weekend and happy #internationalwomensday to all my strong, hard working, amazing ladies out there! Peace, love, and light always ❤️ #theeverygirl #glitterguide #britandco
  • When that warm snap gets hit with a cold slap! Always chasing sunlight, and that just out of the dryer warm feeling! ☀️🧖🏻‍♀️ #warmfront #coldfront #gohomeweatheryouredrunk
  • Now for some REAL Talk. Sometimes I get these crazy ideas in my head.
Let me be the first to tell you that being creative definitely has its ups and downs. When it comes to creating a photo for Instagram or even throwing a shower for a friend, I tend to push myself to the limit.
I have been pretty lucky to pull some of my projects off in the past, but when they don’t turn out how I’d hoped, I can be really hard on myself.
Today I came across this beautiful tile floor and was reminded that some things are not meant to be complicated. It’s JUST THAT SIMPLE.... Let’s stop comparing ourselves and complicating our lives. Let’s compliment each other on our different works of art (that is what makes us unique), and stop setting ourselves up for failure with ridiculously high expectations to feel self worth.
On Instagram we worry so much about being pretty. Instead let’s be-PRETTY KIND • PRETTY FUNNY • PRETTY SMART • PRETTY STRONG #realtalk💯#keepitsimple
  • The first day it’s been warm and sunny in months.
Me: Buys flowers and puts on the first spring dress I can find in my closet. Spring is that you?! 👀🌸🌷
  • Monday, Monday... 🎶 ✨ 🎶

Finally got a little sunshine today along with a cold front. 🥶 So ready for spring and all its glory! Also, ready for daylight savings because I hate how it gets dark so soon! It’s like it’s brainwashing me to go to bed early... anyone else with me on this? 🤷🏼‍♀️ #hurryupspring #givemesunshine #mondays
