SPICY SPIKED WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE

Hi guys!  I hope you’re enjoying all the holiday festivities so far!  Me, well let’s just say I’m on Holiday Road, jk, jk no but seriously has anyone else felt like Christmas came on fast and strong this year?  I mean it was Halloween and then boom Christmas was taking over everything!  I will say that since my favorite month got ruined due to a hurricane, I was ready for some normalcy and a little holiday cheer because boy did I need it and I’m happy to share it with you in case you have had a hard time getting into the spirit this year.  Speaking of spirit or should I say “spirits” I’ve got a cup of cheer for you, a Spicy Spiked White Hot Chocolate drink that will put those other cups of cocoa to shame!

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind a good cup of hot chocolate, but white-hot chocolate will always be my first choice.  It’s probably because I prefer vanilla over chocolate and that I’m also a fan of eggnog so it kind of melts both worlds into a cup for me.  Plus you can never go wrong with cocktail hour so I’ve listed the recipe below for you here for you to enjoy!

white hot chocolate with vodka and spice

SPICY SPIKED WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients

  • 8 OZ WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS
  • 1 CUP HALF AND HALF OR HEAVY CREAM
  • 3 CUPS MILK
  • 1 SHOT VANILLA VODKA
  • GROUND CINNAMON
  • GROUND NUTMEG

Instructions

  1. Whisk all ingredients except for the vodka in a medium saucepan on medium-low heat until chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth (Do Not Boil).

  2. Take hot chocolate off the heat and pour into individual glasses. Then add 1 shot or less (depending on your preference) of vanilla vodka.

  3. Mix well and sprinkle with nutmeg and a sprinkle of cinnamon for spice.

  4. Add some extra flair by serving with cinnamon sticks and star anise pods.

I hope you enjoyed this post and please let me know if you’ve tried this recipe below in the comments!

Cheers -Ashley Nicole
