SPRING 2020 ONE ROOM CHALLENGE | WEEK 2

A BLANK CANVAS

It’s now week 2 of the One Room Challenge and I’ve been painting up a storm! I finally finished painting the shiplap accent that we had put up behind the tv and the beige is completely gone from our living room, dining room, and kitchen. It’s amazing what a little paint can do! I know many people to find the white kind of boring, but for me it’s transitional.

White paint gives me the fresh start that I need in order to reveal what a space needs. Once I have a blank canvas, I can begin adding color as I go with accessories and furniture.

NEUTRAL AND NATURAL

I’ve added some plants and a few books with white and ivory covers to this media stand for variations in height. These wooden bowls were the perfect little hiding place for remote controls. I was also excited to scoop up some pillows from Target that fit our theme perfectly (pictured above).

The majority of these items I already had lying around the house. I’ll definitely be adding more once the shops start to open back up!

Well, that’s all I’ve got for now, check back in next week for more progress and in case you missed it check out week 1 here.

Cheers- Ashley Nicole
