THE ROCKSBOX JEWELRY RAVE

TRY THE LATEST DESIGNER JEWELRY TRENDS BEFORE YOU BUY

*THIS POST WAS CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ROCKSBOX.
ALL OPINIONS ARE 100% MY OWN.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE BUSINESSES WHO SUPPORT COTTAGE-BOUND.

It’s officially summer and I’m so excited to peel off the extra layers of clothes and pile on the extra layers of jewelry!  I’ve just recently signed up for a Rocksbox subscription and I’m completely obsessed!  I love layering some of my old pieces in with the new ones that I get with my subscription without having to spend an arm and a leg to get the look that I want.  I’m also loving the fact that I can test them out before I commit to purchasing them.  Usually, when picking out a piece of jewelry that is over $40, I have to justify whether I will really wear it.  Being able to test drive these designer gems allows me to indulge in my current fashion cravings without feeling guilty and the best part is if I find myself constantly reaching for a piece, I have the option to purchase it and know that I made a good decision, if not, I simply ship them back.

In case you aren’t familiar with Rocksbox, let me fill you in.  Rocksbox is an amazing company that allows you to choose jewelry pieces from different designers like Gorjana, Slate, Jenny Bird, House of Harlow, and more.  After you have signed up and made your wish list, you get your very own personal stylist that sends you pieces of your liking to try before you buy!  I’m always checking out different jewelry designers but I’m a little hesitant to purchase anything on the internet because I never know how it will fit me or what it will look like in person.  When I found out about Rocksbox, I knew that their subscription service would be perfect for me for these very reasons and a few more, let me further explain…

I’ve always been a fan of accessories, jewelry being No. 1 and I also have this thing with mail.  My husband kind of makes fun of me because I like to be the first one to check the mail. It’s become a little competitive over the years on who gets to check it first and I can honestly tell you that there have been races to the mailbox involved (not even joking).  To me I think of mail like your birthday or Christmas, you never know what goodies are in store like a new magazine, something you ordered and forgot about, or in this case a beautifully stylized box of jewelry!

At first, I will say I was a bit skeptical of the whole thing.  I mean who would just let you try out designer jewelry without having to purchase it?  That sounds crazy, right?  But it’s not and they do!  When I decided to sign up I had to fill out my wishlist and it must have taken over an hour because I wanted it all, so I can only imagine how hard it was for my stylist to pick the right pieces to send in my first delivery.  Let’s just say I made them work hard for the money on this one…

Once the package arrived, I ripped it open to find a beautifully wrapped box that was personalized with my name and everything!  They really outdo themselves over there and the jewelry, by the way, does not show an inch of wear or tear so I’m assuming everything I receive is a fresh new batch.

This month I received a necklace from House of Harlow, a set of earrings from Sophie Harper, and another layering necklace from Gorjana which you can see in the photos I’ve provided below. I was so excited to try out the new pieces with different outfits, then I found myself making new outfits specifically for them because I couldn’t wait to show them off and it was all downhill from there!   Now I just need to remind myself that I’m going to need to pay bills and not spend my entire paycheck on jewelry (I mean who needs electricity and water right? jk, jk).

Since I’ve gotten my first Rocksbox subscription, I’ve gotten so many compliments on my jewelry and my outfits because they are now officially complete. I do however find myself asking how I did not know about this sooner and furthermore, why didn’t anyone tell me about this magical unicorn of a subscription?  None the less I found out, got it, and now I’m happy and content here sharing it with you!

If this all sounds too good to be true, it’s about to get even better!  My friends at Rocksbox are offering an exclusive deal for my readers, when you sign up you’ll get your first months subscription for free, yeah I said it FREE!  Normally the monthly subscription is $21 which is automatically entered as credit towards your jewelry purchase for that month.  With your first month for free and a $21 credit, it’s like your getting paid to shop plus you get to wear cute jewelry for a month without having to buy it (WINNING)!

  • Girl put your records on and play your favorite song 🎶 Just picked up a new record the other day! Have you heard of Cotton Jones? They sound so dreamy with a vintage kind of vibe that I can’t help but sway to! Swipe through to have a listen and let me know what you think! 💫
  • A Halloween colored golden hour and this house was dressed perfectly for the occasion... It’s still heating up here in the south and by the end of these photos my overalls were sticking to my legs so bad that I had to hike them up to get back into the car 😅 Hey fall over here!🙋‍♀️🍂 Anyone else dealing with all this heat still?
  • Happy first of October!!! 🎃 I’ve gone batty decorating the porch... 🦇 I added a few pops of green for a “gourd-gous” scene as my witchy side reminds me, tis near Halloween! Looking forward to starting October off right with all the spooky magic this month brings! Clearly Halloween is one of my fave holidays and I’ve been so ready for it! Have you started decorating yet? I’d love to know what you’re doing for porch decor this year! Also, what do you think of my DIY painted doormat?
  • Every year for as long as I can remember, my family has celebrated the fall season by bringing home a bag of @brachscandy Autumn Mix. #sponsored This year, I thought it might be nice to share the tradition with friends by making them a spooky sweet treat because it's not Halloween without Brach's candy corn. That said, I stopped by @target on my way home to pick some up (plus a bag of Pumpkins for me) and whipped up this super simple Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark (recipe below). To add some extra holiday spirit, I placed them in cute goodie bags with a little tag that says "This is for you, Boo!" Can't wait to hand these out and keep the tradition going! Happy Haunting, friends! (1) 12oz. Bag of Dark Chocolate Chunks (melted)
(1) 10-15 of Brach's Candy Corn
Sprinkles of Your Choice
(1) Cookie Sheet Covered with Parchment Paper

After the chocolate has been melted, carefully spread the warm chocolate out on the pan and smooth over into one layer.  Add candy corn/sprinkles and allow to cool in the fridge.  Once cooled, break the chocolate apart into large chunks/shards and disperse as you please.

  • Most of the time my days off consist of me running errands, cleaning and working on stuff for the blog, not to mention, all the other things that come up in life.
Today, I managed to wake up early and check out the local farmer’s market (they had 🎃 check out my stories if you wanna sneak a peek), catch up with some good friends that I haven’t seen in awhile, and even squeezed in a little DIY project that I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time (also in stories)... This was a rare day indeed, but a really good one and it pains me that I have to remind myself to do more things that bring me joy as it seems like I’m always busy these days. That being said, I just thought I’d check in with you because I know first hand how easy it is to run yourself ragged. So here it goes, what have you done to feed your soul/bring you joy lately? ✨
  • Dreaming of the day we get our first cool crisp fall weather! Until then, I be wearing my sweaters in the AC and watching Harry Potter on repeat! Also, I’m super into this color RN! Are you loving all the rusty hues this season? 🍂✨#whitecrowbrand #myzsupply #sweater
  • When it’s 92 degrees out, but you still wanna get your fall on! 🍂✨
•
Lately I’ve been cranking up the AC to pretend it’s cool out, lighting pumpkin candles, flipping through autumnal books/magazines, and watching Harry Potter because I’m determined to get in the mood for fall one way or another! 🤣 What are you guys doing to get your fall on? .
